If you're looking to make bigger power, the T56 Magnum (or possibly a built up one) is the better choice. Now with the Tremec TKX 5-speed available, this robust transmission is rated at 600lb ft of torque, comes in a compact package, AND is able to withstand 7,500rpm shifts! What more could you ask for? So, the T56 Magnum WAS the better choice. The older TKO 5-speed transmissions really don't like to shift at high RPM. The Gen 3 Coyote crate engine is rated at 460hp, and spins to 7000rpm redline.
